The Firmenlauf Mainz is the biggest sporting after-work event in the state capital, and cube one is on board in 2026. On Thursday, 3 September 2026, our team will run 5 kilometres through the centre of Mainz together with thousands of other runners. For us this is more than a race: it is a commitment to team spirit, health and regional roots.
The biggest sporting after-work event in Mainz
The Firmenlauf Mainz has existed for more than ten years; in 2026 it takes place for the 13th time. What started as a regional running idea has grown into one of the largest mass-participation sports events in the Rhine-Main area. At the most recent edition in 2025, according to the organiser, 11,919 participants from more than 600 companies and institutions took part: a new participant record.
The 5-kilometre course leads from the start at Große Bleiche right through the city centre. To avoid waiting times, teams in 2026 start in four blocks from 6:15 pm. Afterwards, the After-Run Party with a live DJ, awards ceremony and catering invites everyone to round off the evening together: the real heart of the event.
Team spirit, health and regional roots
For cube one, the company run is an ideal occasion to strengthen team cohesion beyond everyday work. As a GxP Life Science partner based in Klein-Winternheim near Mainz, we are firmly rooted in the region: alongside many companies from pharma, chemistry and biotechnology that also take part.

The Firmenlauf Mainz combines sport with social commitment. In 2026, DKMS is the official charity partner of the event for the first time; for every participant, one euro is donated to DKMS and to further local initiatives. That way, at the company run every step counts twice.
